About Tara

Hi Sweet Friends!  My name is Tara.  I live in rural Kansas with my husband and three kids- Kinsley and twin boys Brody and Brogan.  We have a hobby(ish) farm.  We have three dogs- a Doberman named Dafney and a Great Pyrenees named Chloe.

We have a gaggle of chickens (because eggs are so expensive- although these chickens are broody are not laying), a horse named Angel (not quite living up to that name), a stinky, smelly billy goat named Jake from State Farm and a posse of barn kitties named White Panther, Barbara, Dolly and Trixie.

Y’all… this is the perfect life for me.  I love living out in the country.  I love having lots of pets.  I am campaigning for a couple more goats, a mini Highland herd , a llama/alpaca, and maybe a miniature donkey or two. And another pup might be a good idea.

I decided to start this blog as a method of journaling and a way to lift up other women and girls.  I am excited to share the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.  Life is messy, but I believe a tribe of women who stand in their faith and stand beside one another are nearly unstoppable.  I have some amazing friends!  True sisters in Christ!  They are the best tribe to walk through life with. They are encouraging but also not afraid to call it like they see it. Those are my kinda people.

My kids are sports enthusiasts, so we do the thing where we go watch them do their thing. From Baseball to softball to basketball- they keep my husband and I on the move.

In case you were really wanting to know, here’s a little about me…

  • I love Fall. I love it when the leaves change.
  • I love Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • I get giddy like a kid when going to look at Christmas lights.
  • I am desperately trying to procure a reindeer, much to my husband’s resistance.
  • I LOVE Branson, Missouri.
  • I love traveling and have been more than ready to go back to the Moon Palace in Cancun or maybe spice things up and try the Moon Palace in Jamaica.
  • I recently traveled to Paris for work and experienced a food coma from all the amazing food! Run to the Hoxton in Paris and get the blueberry pancakes. Your life will never be the same.
  • I love my family.
  • I love lattes with lavender.
  • I love my friends
  • I do not hesitate to tell any dog I come in contact with that I love them. I mean, this is totally normal and not weird at all.
  • I love life.
  • I LOVE to laugh and make others laugh, many times at my own expense.
  • I love sharing my heart with Jesus with all of you. I love to tell it like it is and be real with those reading my blog, so buckle up, sister.

I cannot wait to share my journey through life with you all.  Think of me as your new gal pal that sometimes has it together and sometimes is more of a mess than she cares to admit, but flaws and all, continues to love Jesus and annoy her husband by sending him daily pictures of all the potential pets that we could add our family.
